How do I get access to Atlassian’s remote MCP server?

Do all Atlassian customers have access to the remote MCP server?
  

All Atlassian Cloud customers have access to the remote MCP server, although there are site-level rate limits depending on what Jira and Confluence plan you’re on.

  • Free: 500 calls per hour
  • Standard: 1000 calls per hour
  • Premium/Enterprise: 1000 calls per hour (+ 20 additional calls per user with up to 10,000 calls per hour)

The remote MCP server does not currently support FedRAMP or HIPAA requirements.

What’s the difference between Rovo and Atlassian’s remote MCP server?
  

Atlassian’s remote MCP server enables you to securely access Atlassian data in external AI tools (eg Claude).

Rovo powers Atlassian’s native AI search, chat, and agentic capabilities. With Rovo customers can access Atlassian’s AI capabilities wherever they work--on Atlassian, in developer IDEs, or anywhere on the web via browser extension.
